7 Best Sites to find free Stock Photos

Visual Content is the pillar of Branding and Marketing and since we are on the internet it’s vital to have options!

But what if you don’t have enough photos to build your branding or marketing message? We made this blog post to list the best 10 sites where you can find free images that are high quality and cleared to use.

Licence first!

Many of these photos are free from copyright restrictions or licensed under creative commons public domain dedication. This means you can copy, modify, distribute and perform the work, even for commercial purposes, all without asking permission.

Please make your own research to identify which license they fall under and determine how these images can be used.

1. Unsplash

A collection of over 300,000 beautiful, high-resolution images from more than 50,000 contributors. Unsplash is our number one favorite place to go when we need to fill up with more content for our clients. You can use all of these photos, modify them or edit them. You don’t even need to login in order to download. Photographers are our friends, of course, we refer them at any given chance and that’s all you need to do too.

2. Pexels

Pexels provides high-quality and completely free stock photos licensed under the Creative Commons Zero (CC0) license. All photos are nicely tagged, searchable, and also easy to discover through their discover pages. Again all is needed is the referral and no account is needed in order to download.

3. Pixabay

Same as the above, Pixabay too has a large collection of stock photos licensed under the Creative Commons Zero (CC0) license, photos are searchable and you don’t need to log in to download. Great quality photos with many chances to find what you are looking for. And don’t forget referrals!

4. Freeimages

At Freeimages, you can find simple photos with a natural touch. It is not the place to find super professional photos but natural ones like one of your friends shot them. Depends on the niche you are into, we have found some very decent photos in the past to work with.

5. PicJumbo

High recommended, PicJumbo tends to walk to the Unsplash trail. New photos are added daily, with very professional shots and high-quality photos you can download without even login in. Plus the excellent search features if you are looking for more than one photo on the same topic.

6. Reshot

Reshot’s photos are handpicked and of course free and chances are that you won’t find them elsewhere. No attribution is required. The images themselves are clean, modern, and visually engaging, and non-stocky! The site’s goal is to provide a platform for emerging photographers to share their work.

7. Canva

1 million stock photos are how many photos you can find on Canva, although you need to have a Pro account to download and use unlimited stock photos there are still a lot you can use with a free account too. After all, Canva acquired Pexels and Pixabay, in 2019 to offer more free stock photos than ever.
